Supplies you will need:
• 1 cup flour (plus flour for kneading)
• ½ cup salt
• ½ cup water
• Approximately 5-7 drops of
• Rolling pin
• Cookie cutters
• Baking sheet
• Non-toxic craft Paint (optional)
• Ribbon or string
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees. Mix together flour and salt in a bowl. Stir in water and drops of essential oil - combine until smooth. Use some extra flour to lightly dust countertop. Roll out dough until it’s around ¼ inch thick. Use cookie cutters to create shapes and pierce top of each shape with a hole using a straw or skewer/toothpick (slightly larger than ribbon or string). Place shapes on an ungreased baking sheet and bake in oven for 2-3 hours. Make sure they are completely dried before removing from oven. Allow ornaments to cool before painting. Paint one side of the ornaments to allow to still release from ornament (covering completely with paint will often seal in any scent benefits). String with ribbon or string and hang on tree.
*Please hang these higher up trees in homes with really young children or pets.

Instructions:
Place flour, salt and cream of tartar in a pot and mix together. Mix water and oil to the dry ingredients and place on medium heat. If you are using multiple colors you will want to do this in separate bags later, but if you are doing the full batch in one color, you can add this now. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and starts to form a ball. When done, consistency will allow a quick finger touch without sticking to the finger - do not overcook or burn, so check often once mixture thickens.
Take mixture from pot and either add to bags or put on wax paper to cool slightly. To make multiple colors, separate balls of dough into separate bags and add colors to the bags. Knead dough in bags to avoid staining hands. Add essential oils in bags or while kneading on the wax paper. Essential oils do not work with hot dough, so use on cooler dough.
Dough needs to be stored in bags to keep it from drying out. Essential oils can help prevent spoiling but storage is also important. Does not need to be refrigerated (this would cause it to harden). Can last up to 3 months.
